Buick Modell 19

Automobiles

The Buick Model 19 was a five-seat touring car that Buick built in the United States for the 1910 model year only, as the successor to the Model D and as a companion to the larger Models 16 and 17. It used the four-cylinder inline engine of the Model D, which displaced 4,179 cubic centimetres and gave 28.9 brake horsepower, or 21 kilowatts. The front engine drove the rear wheels through a shaft and a three-speed gearbox, and the wheelbase was 2,591 or 2,667 millimetres depending on the body. Cars left the factory with green bodies and ivory-coloured wooden spoke wheels. About 4,000 were built in its single year, and the Model 21, which was also offered as a three-seat roadster, replaced it for 1911.
