The Renault ZJ is a utility vehicle produced by Renault from 1933 to 1936. The ZJ model was introduced at the end of 1933 in the Renault range. Compared with the Renault PRB of the same payload sold in earlier years, the ZJ is not subject to the French tax on vehicle bulk and its fiscal horsepower is reduced by 1 CV. Production of the ZJ, under the Renault code ZJC, continued until 1936, when the 1.5 to 2 tonne payload class was taken over by the Renault ADK. The ZJ has an in-line four-cylinder petrol engine of 75 by 120 mm, called 15 CV, developing 77 real horsepower. The engine is at the front and the drive to the rear wheels is by cardan shafts, with a gearbox of four forward gears and one reverse.
