Mercedes-Benz W420

Automobiles

The Mercedes-Benz W 420 is a high-roof estate van that Mercedes-Benz sold from 2021 as the Citan in its commercial version and from 2022 as the T-Class in its passenger version. It succeeds the W 415 and is nearly identical in construction to the Renault Kangoo and the Nissan Townstar; all three are built at the Maubeuge Construction Automobile plant of Renault in northern France. The Citan was unveiled on 25 August 2021 as a panel van and a glazed Tourer, followed by a longer Mixto, and the fully electric eCitan and EQT joined later. At launch the range offered a 1.3-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel, and the electric version carries a 45.0 kWh battery for a WLTP range of 282 km. In April 2025 it was announced that production would end in the second quarter of 2026.
