Mercedes-Benz Citan

Automobiles

The Mercedes-Benz Citan is a compact panel van and leisure activity vehicle sold by Mercedes-Benz from 2012, built as a badge-engineered variant of the Renault Kangoo. It was marketed as the smallest model in the Mercedes-Benz van range, below the mid-size Vito and the large Sprinter, and as the successor to the Vaneo compact MPV. The first generation, coded W415, came from a partnership between Daimler and the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and was assembled by the Renault subsidiary MCA at Maubeuge in northern France. It was offered in three lengths and three body styles, Panel Van, Dualiner and Traveliner. A second generation, coded W420, arrived in 2021 on the platform of the third-generation Kangoo, with an electric eCitan variant, and in April 2025 Mercedes-Benz announced that the Citan would be discontinued in 2026.
