1962 Triumph Herald

Automobiles

Disc brakes became an option on the Herald from 1962, and the Triumph Courier van, a Herald estate with side panels in place of rear side windows, was produced from 1962 until 1966, but was discontinued following poor sales. The Herald 1200 of 1962 was the 1147 cc car relaunched in April 1961, made by Standard-Triumph, then owned by Leyland Motors. The Herald 1200 was by then an 1147 cc car. The Courier van was new that year.
