In June 1975 the 2500S model, with 14 inch wheels and an anti roll bar, was added, replacing the 2.5PI, which had quietly disappeared from the showrooms two months earlier. The later 2500TC and 2500S were badged Triumph Chicane in South Africa between 1973 and 1978. The 2500S was the model of 1975 in the Mark 2 range of the Triumph 2000. The 2500S was the last new version. The 2500S replaced the 2.5 PI.
