The SAIC H5 is a mid-size electric SUV built by SAIC Motor and sold under the SAIC marque, the Shangjie brand that SAIC created with Huawei inside Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. It is offered as a battery electric car and as a range extender, in which a 1.5 litre petrol engine works only as a generator. Every version is rear wheel drive; lower versions use a 200 horsepower motor and higher electric versions a 240 horsepower motor, and the article gives a range of up to 655 kilometres for the electric cars and 1,300 kilometres for the range extender. It is assembled in the Lingang area of Shanghai, went on pre-sale on August 25, 2025 as the cheapest model of any brand in the alliance, and officially launched on September 23, 2025. A 192-wire lidar is standard and the cabin runs Huawei's Harmony cockpit software.
