Mitsubishi Gaus

Automobiles

The Mitsubishi Gaus is a concept car that Mitsubishi Motors exhibited at the 31st Tokyo Motor Show in 1995 and the 8th North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 1996. It was a new age SUV whose design concentrated on interior space and comfort. Access was eased by horizontally split doors, the upper half folding up to the roof and the lower half folding down to form a step. The front seats could rotate so that all passengers faced each other in a living room layout, or the rear seats could be taken out entirely for more room. It was powered by a two-litre, sixteen-valve engine sending power to all four wheels through an automatic transmission.
