Jeep first showed the Renegade, a subcompact crossover SUV, in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show, and production started in late August of that year. It was the first Jeep product to be produced exclusively outside of North America and is based on the FCA Small Wide 4x4 platform, built in Melfi, Italy, in Goiana, Brazil, and in Guangzhou, China.
