The Citroën C5 Aircross is a compact crossover SUV that Citroën has built since 2017. The Aircross concept shown at the 2015 Shanghai show previewed it, and the production car was presented at Shanghai in 2017, in Europe at Geneva in 2018, with French assembly at the Rennes plant from 2018. It follows the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme, with a large panoramic roof and progressive hydraulic cushion suspension, and offers a 12.3 inch digital dashboard. European buyers could choose two petrol and two diesel engines, and from November 2019 a plug-in hybrid that pairs a 180 PS petrol engine with an 80 kW electric motor, the first Citroën with that powertrain. Chinese cars use turbocharged petrol engines. A facelift followed in 2022, and a second generation on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform was released in April 2025.
