BYD Atto 2

Automobiles

The BYD Atto 2 is a subcompact SUV in the B-segment manufactured by BYD Auto since 2024. It was first sold in China as the battery electric BYD Yuan Up, part of the Yuan series named after the Yuan dynasty, and it was introduced in February 2024 and entered production in March 2024. The Yuan Up is based on the e-Platform 3.0 and powered by BYD's Blade lithium iron phosphate battery in 32 or 45.1 kilowatt-hour sizes, and its design follows the dragon face concept of the Song L EV, with a floating roof and a full-width rear light bar. Exports began in September 2024, starting with South America as the Yuan Pro, and the car is marketed in Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand as the Atto 2. In October 2025 BYD added a plug-in hybrid version, the Atto 2 DM-i, which debuted in Europe and then reached Latin America and South Africa, and in Brazil a flex-fuel version runs on ethanol.
