Jaguar XJR-16

Automobiles

The Jaguar XJR-16 is an IMSA GTP sports prototype race car, built with the aim of competing, from 1991, in the IMSA GT Championship. The cars had a short lifespan, competing for only one season before being hastily replaced with the Jaguar XJR-14. The article records four victories in 1991, all by chassis 191, at the 300 km of Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Laguna Seca and Road America, and lists David Jones, Cor Euser, Scott Pruett, Scott Goodyear, Martin Brundle and David Brabham among its drivers. Its chassis was later stripped down and rebuilt as the Jaguar XJR-17 for the IMSA Camel Lights category.
