The Ligier JS2 is a mid-engined sports coupe that Ligier built in the French commune of Abrest, near Vichy in the department of Allier, between 1971 and 1975. It was the firm's road-going sports car and the model that took Guy Ligier from racing into the car trade; both road-going and competition versions were built. The Ligier name and the JS prefix, which honours Guy Ligier's friend Jo Schlesser, killed in the 1968 French Grand Prix, run through every Ligier model that followed, from Formula One cars to the later microcars.
