Riley RMA

The Riley RMA was the first post-war Riley, announced in August 1945 and sold as the Riley 1.5 Litre. It was a large saloon with traditional styling, a wooden body frame in the English tradition, hydro-mechanical brakes and independent front suspension on torsion bars. It used the 1.5 litre four-cylinder Riley engine developed before the war and could reach about 75 mph. Built first in Coventry and later at the MG works at Abingdon, it was produced from 1945 until 1952, when the improved RME replaced it. The RMA is the original member of the RM series.
