Packard Executive

Automobiles

The Packard Executive was a short-lived automobile of 1956, built by the Packard-Clipper Division of the Studebaker-Packard Corporation to fill a price gap between the Clipper Custom and the Patrician. It was introduced on 5 March 1956 and combined the Clipper Custom body and its 122 inch wheelbase with the front fenders, hood and grille of the senior Packards, powered by the new 352 cubic inch, 275 horsepower overhead valve V8. It came as a two-door hardtop and a four-door Touring Sedan, priced at 3,560 and 3,465 dollars, and was pitched at the young man on his way up. Production ended when the Detroit plant closed on 25 June 1956, after 2,779 had been built.
