IM L7

Automobiles

The IM L7 is a battery electric full-size sedan produced by the Chinese brand IM Motors, also known as Zhiji Motors, a joint venture of SAIC Motor, Pudong New Area and Alibaba. It is the brand's first vehicle, revealed as a prototype at Auto Shanghai on 19 April 2021 and in production from early 2022, with deliveries delayed to late June 2022 by the Shanghai lockdown. It is meant to compete with the Tesla Model S. Its chassis was co-developed with Williams Advanced Engineering, with 12 degrees of rear wheel steering, and the drag coefficient is 0.21. The base version has a single rear motor of 250 kW and the all-wheel drive version adds a 177 kW front motor for 425 kW in total, with a 90 kWh CATL battery. A Snake Performance variant with 445 kW was launched in December 2022, and a refreshed model followed in February 2024.
