The FPV GT was a full-size four-door sedan built by Ford Performance Vehicles from 2003 until 2014 as the V8 performance sedan of the FPV range, a successor to the Ford Falcon GT. The first BA series cars used the 5.4-litre Boss 290 V8 producing 290 kW with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the luxury GT-P variant was based on the BA Fairmont. Later series raised output through the Boss 302 and Boss 315 engines, and from 2010 a supercharged 5.0-litre Miami V8 gave 335 kW. Special editions included the 40th Anniversary, the Cobra R-Spec, the R-Spec and the final GT-F 351 of 2014, which set a record as the fastest Australian production vehicle at 297 km/h.
