The Citroen C-Triomphe is a mid-size sedan built for the Chinese market by Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen, the joint venture between the French PSA Group and the Chinese maker Dongfeng. It is essentially a three-box notchback version of the European C4 hatchback, because Chinese buyers prefer traditional sedans, and it did not keep the C4 name because the number four is unlucky in Chinese. The car is considerably larger than the hatchback, at 4,770 millimetres long on a 2,710 millimetre wheelbase against 4,260 and 2,610, which puts it in the large family car class. It was meant to add to the Chinese range alongside the Fukang and the Elysee rather than replace them, and one unusual feature is an integrated air freshener that lets the driver choose the smell of the interior.
