BYD Seal 08

The BYD Seal 08 is a battery electric and plug-in hybrid full-size sedan produced by BYD Auto and launched in China in July 2026. It was previewed by the Ocean-S concept at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, announced alongside the Sealion 08 at BYD's Ocean Day on 15 December 2025, and unveiled on 5 March 2026. The fastback body keeps the concept's closed grille and narrow headlights. The car has DiSus-A air suspension with LiDAR-based bump prediction, rear-wheel steering that gives a 4.95 metre turning radius, the God's Eye B driving system and a 160 litre powered front trunk. The electric version uses an 800 volt platform and second-generation Blade batteries of 76.7 or 92.1 kilowatt-hours, with CLTC ranges up to 785 and 905 kilometres, and the plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine with electric motors.
