The BYD Qin Plus is a plug-in hybrid compact and mid-size sedan that BYD has manufactured from 2021 onwards. The first generation is a refreshed Qin Pro, unveiled at the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2020 and on sale from March 2021 as a plug-in hybrid DM-i and a battery electric EV. The DM-i pairs a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine with a single electric motor for about 127 kilowatts, and BYD claims a thermal efficiency of 43 percent and fuel use below 3.8 litres per 100 kilometres. The EV tops out at a 71.7 kilowatt-hour battery with 600 kilometres of range. Its sister model, the Destroyer 05, was sold from March 2022 through the Ocean Network. A major facelift came in January 2025, and a separate second generation sharing its body with the Qin L DM-i was revealed in filings on 10 July 2026.
