The Pilot was a small six cylinder car that Spencer Wilks had the Hillman engine designer B H Thomas design to fit between the 10/25 four cylinder and the two or two and a half liter sixes. It was announced on 21 August 1931 as a twelve horsepower six with a four speed gearbox and a silent third gear, capable of 65 to 70 miles an hour. In July 1932 the engine grew to 1577 cubic centimeters. Its model years run from 1931 to 1933.
