A supplementary model of the Rover 12 with a Knight Rover two cylinder, water cooled, sleeve valve engine of 1882 cubic centimeters and a two seater body was announced in October 1910 for the Olympia Motor Show, though Rover's intention to produce it was published in mid 1910. The connecting rods of the two cylinders sat side by side on the same crank pin, which made the firing points equidistant.
