The Rover 6 was available until 1912, after seven years of production from its announcement in January 1905, as the small economy car of the Rover range. Autocar's testers had driven it three hundred miles and declared it an ideal car for a man of very moderate means, saying that control was so simple a child could drive it, with excellent steering though a stiff change speed. Petrol was carried in a tank beneath the driver's seat.
