The P4 series stayed in production until 1964 and their replacement by the Rover 2000. By 1964 the range had been broadened into several models including the Rover 80 and 100, with front disc brakes, and the P4 had outlasted the early P5 that had supplemented it in September 1958. The Rover 2000 took its place as the family saloon of Rover. It was the last year of the P4. The Rover 90 had been the most popular of the P4 cars.
