The P4 series was supplemented in September 1958 by a new Rover 3 litre, the P5, but the P4 series stayed in production until 1964. The Rover 90, the most popular car of the P4 series, was in production in 1958, and the Rover Company continued to offer the P4 cars alongside the larger and more costly P5, which was a bigger saloon with a 3 liter engine. The P5 was a larger saloon of the Rover range.
