On 18 October 2022 Rolls-Royce unveiled the Spectre through its social media channels, a year after announcing in September 2021 that testing had commenced. The name follows the long tradition at Rolls-Royce of giving models supernatural monikers. It is the company's first electric vehicle and rides on the same platform as the Phantom and the Cullinan, a full size luxury electric grand tourer. The car was built at Goodwood, as every modern Rolls-Royce is.
