From 1970 the Shadow had a 189 hp 6.75 liter V8, replacing the 6.2 liter engine of 1965 to 1969. No official power outputs were stated, but registration authorities in many markets required outputs be listed. Left hand drive models were coupled to the recently introduced Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic gearbox sourced from General Motors, and the Silver Shadow had been in production for five years.
