1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn

Automobiles

A four speed automatic gearbox became an option in late 1952 on the E series chassis, and on the corresponding Bentley R Type chassis, while a four speed manual had been fitted to all cars at first. The Silver Dawn shared its body and chassis with the Bentley Mark VI until 1952, and then with the Bentley R Type until production finished in 1955. Rolls-Royce built the Silver Dawn at its Crewe works.
