1968 Rolls-Royce Phantom V

Automobiles

The Phantom V ended in 1968 after 518 cars from 1959, and John Lennon bought another, all white Phantom V in 1968, to match his White Album period. Lennon's painted car was donated to the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in 1977 to cover an IRS bill. The Phantom V was succeeded by the Phantom VI, which was based on the facelifted Phantom V. The Phantom VI replaced it, built by Rolls-Royce. The Phantom V was built from 1959.
