The Series II Ghost came to the end of its run in 2020, after being the Ghost sold from 2014. The second generation was fully revealed on 1 September 2020, and unlike the first generation it shares the same platform as the eighth generation Phantom and the Cullinan SUV, so the Series II was the last Ghost on the shared BMW 7 Series based platform. The Series II had been built since 2014. Its successor would use a very different architecture.
