The Wolseley 1500 was released in April 1957 and the Riley One-Point-Five was launched in November 1957, directly after the 1957 London Motor Show. The Riley was the more powerful of the two with twin SU carburettors giving 68 hp. The cars used the Morris Minor floor pan, suspension and steering, but were fitted with the larger 1,489 cc B-Series engine and the gearbox of the MG Magnette. The Riley was launched in November.
