1961 Riley 4/Seventy Two

Automobiles

The car became the 4/Seventy Two in October 1961, just before the Motor Show, closely related again to the 16/60 update of the Wolseley. The engine was now 1.6 liters, and Riley again got the twin carburettor version, with 68 horsepower. It also used improved suspension with anti roll bars, the wheelbase was an inch longer and the front track two inches wider, answering criticism of the indifferent road holding of the 1959 cars.
