In 2006 the Range Rover Sport was sold in a range of trims including the European S and HST and the SE, HSE and Supercharged. The HST had a sportier body kit and was only available with the supercharged V8 or the diesel V8, and the cheapest S had cloth seats, cruise control and the 2.7-litre diesel. Land Rover entered the Range Rover Sport, together with the Discovery 3, in its G4 Challenge competition that year, with standard mechanicals.
