The 1976 Range Rover had changed little since 1970 apart from minor cosmetic details: the rear C pillars, bare in the earliest cars, received a vinyl covering at some point in the 1970s. It was still the two-door, and the interior was basic, with vinyl seats and a dashboard moulded of hard plastic that its owners later nicknamed the Airfix dashboard. In 1976 the one millionth Land Rover of all types left the line.
