The 2017 Ram 1500 continued the fourth generation full size pickup with the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6, the 5.7 liter Hemi V8 and the 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6, an eight speed automatic, and the optional four corner air suspension. The fifth generation Ram was introduced at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in January 2018, and the 2017 Ram, a fourth generation truck, was the last full year before it.
