For 1992 the Grand Am's N body platform was widened to match the Corsica's, with the suspension and braking systems about eighty percent in common. The generation was available with an anti lock braking system on the SE, a 3.1 liter 3100 series V6 and a four speed automatic from 1994, and a driver's side airbag standard in 1994. In Japan it was officially imported by Yanase and Suzuki with left hand drive. Its model years run from 1992 to 1998.
