For the 2008 model year the Pontiac G8 was initially offered in six colors, Stealth Blue, Liquid Red, Ignition Orange, White Hot, Magnetic Gray and Panther Black, with Stealth Blue discontinued after the first batch shipped from Australia. First deliveries to dealerships were posted in March 2008 and initial sales were brisk, but May 2008 monthly sales of 1,832 units compared with 12,230 for the Grand Prix a year before. General production began on 18 December 2007.
