Mini Pick-up

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Mini Pick-up was the open backed light truck version of the classic Mini, built on the longer Mini Van platform with a tailgate and an open cargo area, about 11 feet in total length. The factory specified a weight of under 1,500 lb with a full tank of six imperial gallons of fuel. Like the van it had a stamped metal grille to let air into the engine compartment, and it was basic in trim, though the factory brochure also described a fully equipped Mini Pick-up with a recirculatory heater. Passenger side sun visor, seat belts, a laminated windscreen and tilt tubes and cover cost extra. It was renamed the Mini 95 in 1978, and a total of 58,179 Mini pick-up models were built between 1961 and 1983.
