Dodge C series

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Dodge C series was a line of pickup trucks that Dodge sold from 1954 until 1960. It replaced the B series and was eventually supplanted by the D series introduced in 1961. Unlike the B series, which was closely related to Dodge's prewar trucks, the C series was a complete redesign. Dodge continued its pilot-house tradition of high-visibility cabs and added a wrap-around windshield in 1955, when a two-speed PowerFlite automatic transmission also became available. The Town Panel and Town Wagon used the same design. The early models kept the old naming, the 1954 half-ton, three-quarter-ton and one-ton trucks being the C-1-B, C-1-C and C-1-D.
