Chevrolet Task Force

Automobiles

The Chevrolet Task Force is a light-duty and medium-duty truck series from Chevrolet introduced in 1955, the first major redesign since the 1947 Advance Design trucks. The light-duty models were the 3100 short bed and 3200 long bed and the medium-duty model was the 3600, and the parallel GMC version was called the Blue Chip. It had a more modern design than the Advance Design without giving up ruggedness or durability. Available from March 25, 1955, the trucks were sold with minor changes until 1957; 1955 and 1956 had an egg crate grille, the electrical system moved from 6 to 12 volts, and 1957 brought a more open grille.
