The Chevrolet Avalanche was a four-door, five or six passenger full-size pickup truck built by General Motors and sold by its Chevrolet division from 2001 to 2013 across two generations. It was a hybrid of the Chevrolet Suburban sport utility vehicle and the Silverado pickup, sharing its chassis with the Suburban. Unlike a typical pickup whose bed is mounted separately on the frame, the Avalanche bed was integrated with the cab body, and a midgate behind the second row let the seats fold down to lengthen the bed. It was sold only as a Chevrolet with no GMC version, though Cadillac marketed a rebadged Avalanche.
