The Jeep Hurricane is a bespoke custom concept vehicle that Jeep unveiled at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with Aaron Pizzuti as principal exterior designer. It is powered by twin 5.7 liter Hemi V8 engines of 335 horsepower each, for a total of 670 horsepower, sent to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic, and it can reach 60 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds. Automatic cylinder deactivation lets it run on 16, 12, 8 or 4 cylinders. A patented four-wheel steering system gives it a zero turning radius and lets it move sideways. The one-piece body is largely carbon fiber, it has no side doors or roof, and it seats two people. The concept won an IDEA Silver Award and an Autoweek Editor's Choice award.
