The Guy Armoured Car was a British wheeled armoured car built in limited numbers by Guy Motors in 1939 and 1940, during the early part of the Second World War. It grew out of five prototypes that Guy built on its Quad Ant artillery tractor chassis to a design from the Woolwich Arsenal, and it was the first British armoured car of all-welded construction, a method Guy suggested and developed with rotating jigs. Production totalled about a hundred vehicles in Mark I and Mark IA forms with machine gun armament in a turret. Six went to France with the British Expeditionary Force and were lost, and the hull and turret design passed to Rootes, which used it as the basis of the Humber Armoured Car.
