Ford EX

Automobiles

The Ford EX, informally the Ford Ex or Ford Extreme, was a concept car created by the Ford Motor Company and first shown at the 2001 North American International Auto Show. It was built to be an off road vehicle and was deliberately spare in design, with no doors and an exterior built mainly around a durable chrome molybdenum steel exoskeleton chosen for its off road capability. A front mounted single overhead cam 4.0 litre supercharged V6 gasoline engine produced up to 375 brake horsepower and 410 pound feet of torque, sent through a five speed manual gearbox and four wheel drive on large 33 inch tires. The concept later turned up in popular culture, appearing in the 2004 live action film Thunderbirds and as a playable vehicle in the video games Ford Racing 2 and Ford Racing 3.
