The base Nash 600 was renamed the Nash Statesman for the 1950 model year, and it was offered in three trim levels, the top line Custom, the entry level Super and a base fleet only model for commercial and institutional buyers. It came as a two or four door sedan on the Airflyte unit body, on a wheelbase nine inches shorter than the Ambassador's, and it was one of the volume leaders in the Nash line that year.
