The Morris Ten continued through a series of variants until October 1948, when along with the Morris Twelve and Fourteen it was replaced by the 13.5 horsepower Morris Oxford MO. The Series M had been one of the first mass market British cars with an overhead valve engine, alongside the Vauxhall 10-4, and it was praised for the smoothness, efficiency and quiet running of that engine. The Series M saloon was the last Ten.
