Production of the Morris Six was delayed until March 1949 because of difficulties with metal fatigue in the link between the bulkhead scuttle and the front suspension. The price rose from 607 pounds to 671 pounds on 1 March 1949. The car had a clear external likeness to its pre war 25 horsepower predecessor, and the body was very similar to the Morris Oxford MO from the scuttle backwards. It was the second model year of the car after its announcement.
