The Oxford was updated for 1957 with a new fluted bonnet and small rear fins and an optional two tone paint scheme, announced on 18 October 1956. The woody Series III Traveller was replaced by the all steel Series IV in 1957, though the saloon remained in production until the Pininfarina styled Series V was introduced in 1959. A semi automatic Manumatic transmission was optional. The Oxford Series III was sold with a two tone paint scheme.
