In 1969 the simple name Mini completely replaced the separate Austin and Morris brands, so the Morris Mini-Minor became simply the Mini, after ten years under the Morris name. The Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969, and the Morris name remained on the Mini in Denmark as the Morris Mascot until 1981. Its fibreglass Chilean version was also developed in 1969. It marked the end of a decade of the Morris badge on the Mini.
