The third generation Triton of 1998 was in its third year, built at Laem Chabang, Thailand, and sold as the Strada in Japan until 1999, and as the L200 in most export markets. The engine options included two sixteen valve fuel injected gasoline engines and a naturally aspirated diesel alongside the 2.5 liter turbodiesel. In Japan it was previously sold at a specific retail chain called Car Plaza. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors.
